Why Pilates?

For me, Pilates is more than just a workout—it’s a mindful way to connect with my body, build strength from the inside out, and move with more confidence and ease. Pilates helps improve posture, flexibility, balance, and even supports injury recovery. It also helps you tune in. Every movement is intentional. Every breath has purpose. It's the kind of workout that strengthens your body and sharpens your focus. And the best part? Pilates complements yoga beautifully. While yoga helps you breathe, stretch, and release, Pilates helps you stabilize, strengthen, and align. Together, they support a full mind-body-soul reset.

What We Practice at To Serve Wellness

At To Serve Wellness, we offer two main styles of Pilates, and both are powerful in their own way: Reformer Pilates

This class uses a Reformer machine featuring springs and pulleys to add resistance and support deep, controlled movements. It's amazing for improving alignment, building strength, and increasing flexibility. Mat Pilates Mat Pilates uses your own body weight to build core strength, stability, and control. It’s accessible and effective—with minimal equipment, you can do it anywhere. And don’t be fooled: just because it’s on the mat doesn’t mean it’s easy. You’ll feel the burn (in the best way).

Our Approach to Pilates

Every class is guided by the six core principles of Pilates, first taught by founder Joseph H. Pilates: • Breath • Concentration • Control • Precision • Centering • Flow We carry these values into every session alongside the To Serve Wellness values of listening to your body, validating your why, and engaging with love and care.
